Bitcoin - The Currency of the Internet

A community dedicated to Bitcoin, the currency of the Internet. Bitcoin is a distributed, worldwide, decentralized digital money. Bitcoins are issued and managed without any central authority whatsoever: there is no government, company, or bank in charge of Bitcoin. You might be interested in Bitcoin if you like cryptography, distributed peer-to-peer systems, or economics. A large percentage of Bitcoin enthusiasts are libertarians, though people of all political philosophies are welcome.

Bitching and moaning on Bitcoin Core 0.9

I installed Bitcoin Core 0.9 the day it came out. After using it for a few days I have some bitching and moaning to do:
  1. It takes longer to load compared to 0.8.5 (I didn't upgrade to 0.8.6). Not a big deal at first, but if I close it and then run it again after a few minutes it gets on my nerves to wait as if it was a Windows 3.1 program.
  2. Why did they move the addresses windows to the FILE menu? Took me a bit to figure it out and created a few public addresses unnecessarily in the process.
  3. Seems silly that they still put "unknown" for the sender address instead of the actual sender address since you can check who the sender was in blockchain.info.
Other than that, I really appreciate the fact that they patched it for transaction malleability and lowered the miner fee.

I've created a fork of Bitcoin Core 0.9.1 that invalidates all future Ghash.io blocks

It's mainly a thought experiment, and I realise this is in no way a proper solution.
Here's the code:
https://github.com/DivineOmega/bitcoin/tree/0.9.1
Compile it and run it if you want. However, be aware, if people using a non-modified Bitcoin client try to send you coins that have been mined by Ghash.io recently, you likely won't get them.

xor on Feb 01 2015:
Why is that?
Also, is it correct that there wasn't a release candidate before the release?
Sounds dangerous to me.
